Amber may be the only organic gemstone. Made from fossilised resin, it historically came from the Baltic regions, although people can find it all over the world. One of the most interesting aspects of amber is that it often contains unique inclusions, such as insects or plant and animal matter that is potentially millions of years old.

Do not just look at amber, use it as a lens to imagine the most distant past.
