The Apple TV second generation opens up a window to a world of endless entertainment. This compact streaming device enables users to access the exciting world of online media streaming, delivering thousands of HD films and TV programmes straight into your living room onto your HDTV. As well as being able to rent movies from Apple, Netflix and other top providers, the Apple TV 2 allows users to stream movies, music photos and other content from devices such as iPhones, iPods and iPads using AirPlay, as well as from a Mac or PC, all in 720p (it does not support 1080p). The Apple TV 2 multimedia box is integrated with online media sites such as You Tube, Flickr and MobileMe, allowing content to be viewed on HDTVs. Photos can be displayed from iCloud in a slide show and with automatic cross-dissolve transitions and to a music soundtrack of choice The second generation Apple TV enables users to stream content from more than one iTunes library from the same or another computer using the iTunes Home Sharing feature, providing they are on the same local network, allowing easy access to music and film collections. The device comes complete with an Apple Remote, which can be paired to the Apple TV to prevent interference from other remotes, and users have the option to limit access to Internet media service content with parental controls. The Apple TV 2 is easy to set up using an HDMI cable, and with the capability and power of a far larger unit, manages to incorporate a fantastic entertainment experience into a compact, energy efficient, sleekly-designed device.
