About Blue Icicle Lights
LED icicle lights have changed not only the appearance of Christmas but also of other celebrations such as birthdays and weddings. Gone are the days of huge, coloured light bulbs with mains wire draped across the garden. The infuriating Christmas tree ?fairy lights?, which always seem to have a faulty bulb, are also thankfully things of the past.
LED icicle lights produce much more light from a much smaller unit, are programmable and exceptionally easy to install. The design of the LED lights can be anything from red berries and leaves to white stars, blue or white snowflakes and of course, icicles.
LED icicle light sets are usually sold in various metre lengths and will include sufficient cable for a basic installation. Most systems run from a 12v transformer pack, often incorporated into the control box. It is advisable to check that the programmable control box contains a memory function.
Most control boxes offer a large number of lighting combinations. Without a memory function, every time the lights are switched on it will be necessary to go through all the various programmes in order to find the required programmed display, which can be very frustrating.
Two of the great advantages of LED icicle lights over conventional lighting systems is that LED systems are much better at withstanding bad weather and also require much less power to operate. These qualities ensure longevity of usage and also much lower electricity costs than conventional lighting systems.
LED icicle lights are available in many different lengths and LED density. With hundreds of individual LED lights operating to a pre-programmed pattern, the effect can be both exciting and spectacular.
