About BMW 1 Series

The BMW 1 Series is the most affordable car in the BMW line-up. However, it looks anything but affordable. The company designed the car with a semi-retro look, basing it off the 2002 coupe's appearance. The design was merely based off the 2002 edition, though. Its sleek exterior has had many changes, causing the BMW 1 series to look more modern and classy. Keeping with their mission statement, BMW did make the 1 Series an 'Ultimate Driving Machine'. The vehicle is nimble on the road with a 3.0 litre inline six engine and an impressive 228 horsepower. BMW managed to create a machine with a smaller engine that doesn't suck up as much gasoline as other luxury cars, but still accelerates as fast as a turbo charged vehicle would. The six-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly between gears and there is a seven-speed automatic transmission version as well for those who prefer it. It handles superbly on the road with chassis that handles bumps and turns in the smoothest way possible. Shoppers have the option of selecting a regular coupe or a convertible model as well as choosing from many exterior colours and many interior materials. With all of its perfect features, the BMW 1 Series does have a drawback, though. The rear seat that is meant to fit two people is quite cramped so those who want to regularly carpool may find the car uncomfortable. However, that is only one downfall compared to so many benefits seems hardly worth noticing. Only one word can truly describe the BMW 1 Series: luxury.
