About Brand New Nokia Dual Sim Mobile Phones

Dual SIM mobile phones have two SIM card slots, allowing the user to switch between mobile networks without having to replace SIM cards. The SIM card is a small memory chip that is used by a phone to authenticate to a mobile provider's network. When a phone is switched on, the SIM sends an identification number to the provider's systems. If the provider recognises that ID number as belonging to one of its customers, it grants the phone access to the network. Each SIM card is usually tied in to a single mobile provider. Using dual SIM cards allows phones to authenticate themselves with more than one network at a time. This practice can be particularly useful on business phones, allowing users to use one network for business purposes and a completely separate network and charging tariff for personal calls. Dual SIM phones can also be more reliable than regular phones, as they can switch to a backup network in the event that their primary network becomes unavailable. Nokia's range of dual SIM devices is intended to be as cost effective as possible, running on Nokia's own Asha smartphone operating system. Notable models include the Asha 501, which features a high quality touchscreen interface and up to 48 hours of battery life, the Asha 205, which features a physical QWERTY keyboard to make typing long emails or messages easier, and the Nokia 206, a budget model with a standard numberpad that is available in a wide range of vibrant colours.
