About Carol Vorderman
Co-host for over 25 years on the popular game show Countdown, Carol Vorderman is that rare celebrity who is so familiar to her fans that she almost seems like one of the family. Starting out as a junior civil engineer decades ago, Vorderman experienced the lucky chance of auditioning for Countdown after her mother saw and advert announcing a search for a female presenter with maths skills.
