About Die Cutting Machine
Die cutting machines are machines that are used to make multiple copies of items of exactly the same shape and size. They are used to cut thinner materials, such as paper, cloth, wood, sheet metal, rubber, foil and more. Die cutting machines are used on a large scale for various industrial process, but smaller die cutting machines are available for hobby and craft usage.
Die cutting machines can either be operated by hand or by machine. Normally, small die cutting machines used in the home are operated by hand, and larger scale industrial machines are operated by machine.
A die cutting machine operates in the same way as a cookie cutter - stamping out uniform patterns that are all exactly the same. These machines are much more effective than using scissors or cookie cutters, however, as they are far quicker and it is far easier to make sure that all shapes are exactly the same. Because of the speed of using a die cutting machine, it is also far less tedious than individually cutting out the same shape again and again.
Many die cutting machines used by hobbyists and crafters also have additional features and functionality. In addition to die cutting, some of these machines are also able to emboss and add texture to card, paper, felt, foil and a wide range of other materials. Die cuts are often used by those interested in scrapbooking, and can be used to add professional looking embellishments to cards, photo albums, invitations and more.
