About Flexi Torch
Any flexible torch designed for multiple applications could be described as a 'flexi torch', but the term usually describes a torch which has a bendable neck allowing the light beam to be accurately directed even into awkward to reach spaces. These torches come in many designs - a flexible neck may pull out from the main torch grip body, or the entire body may be bendable.
A flexi torch is an excellent addition to any toolkit. Particularly designed for poking into inaccessible areas, a typical handyman's flexi torch has a small head and a long, narrow extendable neck with a narrow handle. Sometimes also know as snake lights, these most often use LED technology, as it can provide a bright light from a comparatively small source. Such tools are often combined with a magnet in the head, so that you can use them to see, then reach in and pick up, fiddly items from deep, narrow spaces.
The other main application of a flexi torch is to provide easily fixed directed lighting for a workspace such as a desk. Flexi torches designed for office or craft use will have some means of fixing them to a wall or shelf, either via a clip or using a strong magnet in the base.
If you're just looking for a handy torch to see you through any unforeseen situations in your home or while camping or driving, look for one designed to be multi-purpose and also suitable for use as an ordinary, hand-held flashlight.
