The flue is the working heart of a fireplace, what keeps the air flowing and the fire burning, and ensures the smoke goes out instead of in. Flue parts include pipes, chimney liners, flexible tubes, and kits and fastenings.

Some other flue applications include gas flues for carrying waste from a gas furnace, where the same principles apply. If the flue gets clogged or blocked, the fireplace malfunctions, so repair or replace the flue as needed.
