About Gtech Airram
Launched in 2012, the Gtech AirRam is a vacuum cleaner, designed by the British company, Grey Technology Ltd, also known Gtech. The AirRam is a cordless, upright vacuum cleaner that needs to be charged before use, but has been designed to perform like a mains powered vacuum cleaner.
The Gtech AirRam has been designed with a number of innovative features that aim to improve the vacuuming experience. As it is a cordless vacuum, the homeowner is not restricted by the length of a power cable or the heavy weight of many upright vacuum cleaners. It can be used to clean carpets and hard floors interchangeably, without having to stop the vacuum and change its setting. The AirRam is also designed to effectively remove embedded pet hair from carpet fibres.
With its lower power 100 watt electric motor, the Gtech AirRam uses very little electricity, and yet has been designed to rival some of the leading brand of vacuum cleaners in terms of its performance. As the AirRam removes dirt from the floor, it is deposited within two small compartments in the vacuum head as compressed bales of dirt. The short distance between the floor and the head compartments means that the AirRam requires very little power. The AirRam provides 40 minutes of cleaning after a single charge and takes four hours to charge.
The Gtech AirRam has also been designed for quick and simple dirt dispensing. The compartments in the head can be easily opened and emptied into a bin, and because the dirt has been compressed into bales, there is no dust cloud as they are removed.
