A good pair of headphones can have a big impact on the enjoyment level of listening to music on an MP3 player, via a smartphone, or on a laptop or portable DVD player. Cheap headphones might be a good option if they are going to be bundled into a pocket or bag, as they will not cost too much to replace; but if you care for your headphones, it might be worth spending a little extra for some more dynamic audio.

That extra spend might buy you better sound isolation, so that other people in the room do not have to listen to a tinny version of your music too; noise reduction that shuts out the background noise of your surroundings; or simply a better frequency range with good bass.

Such a variety of headphones available including wireless and noise cancelling but what ones to buy? Our buying guide will help you identify those best for you.
