About HP 301 Ink Cartridges
Hewlett-Packard has grown from a small garage business in 1935 to become one of the world’s most valued brands. They are mostly known for their printers, but also make cameras and imaging software. Due to the huge number of different printers they offer, Hewlett-Packard do a vast range of ink cartridges, so it is important to buy the correct one for your printer. The choice of cartridge is very straightforward; black for text printing and a combined colour cartridge for colours, meaning you do not need to buy lots of different cartridges for different colours. Average printing will give you nearly 200 pages of printing in black, and roughly 165 in colour. If this is not enough, opt for the XL versions which contain the same high-quality inks but bigger, delivering about twice the printing capacity of the standard sizes. This can work out to be a cheaper option than buying the smaller cartridges if you do not mind the higher initial outlay. Combo packages, containing a black and a colour cartridge, can often work out cheaper than buying them separately. Refills and compatibles are available but compatibles tend not to be as reliable as buying new and original, particularly when colour printing, and refilling can be a messy affair. Hewlett-Packard have an excellent reputation as a “green” company, and their cartridges can be recycled through their HP Planet Partners scheme. All cartridges are guaranteed against defects in both materials and workmanship.
