About Kenny Dalglish

Widely regarded as one of the greatest players of his generation, Kenny Dalgish has been in football for over two decades. Hailing from Scotland, Dalglish began a career by playing for Celtic. However, it was with Liverpool that he truly made a name for himself. With this team, he was able to win two FA cups, three European cups, four League cups, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. No wonder he's called "King Kenny" by fans. Apart from being considered the best British striker after the war, Dalglish has also proven his worth as a football manager. From playing an active role on the field to watching from a distance, he would continue leading Liverpool to various championship cups. Dalglish would also manage Blackburn Rovers, Newcastle United, and Celtic throughout his career. Inducted in the English Football Hall of Fame as well as in the Scottish one, Dalglish has also published a book detailing his life entitled "Dalglish: My Autobiography" and "Kenny Dalglish: My Liverpool Home". While he suffered scandal and tragedy in the face of all of his success, there is no doubt that all of the honours bestowed upon this footballer have been well deserved. In addition to all of his achievements, Dalglish also holds the record for having the most caps and goals for Scotland, which is 102 and 30, respectively. He has also won the 1983 PFA Player of the Year, the Ballon d'Or Silver award, and is a member of the FIFA 100.
