About Lauren Conrad

If you love books, fashion, or reality television shows, then you probably already know who Lauren Conrad is. Born in 1986, the American entrepreneur made her début in the 2004 show 'Laguna Beach'. The series followed her in as she made her way through high school as a wealthy teenager, then onto college with her friend and equally popular co-star, Heidi Montag. Thanks to the popularity of the show, Lauren Conrad received her own spin-off series called 'The Hills', which was based around her everyday life as she worked on her career in the fashion industry. During her new show, 'The Hills', Lauren moved in with her friend Heidi and worked on an internship with Vogue. The drama between Conrad and Montag kept the show going as Lauren and Heidi began fighting and Heidi eventually moved in with her boyfriend. After running successfully for a few years, the show was cancelled in 2010, but Lauren Conrad's career did not end. She is still involved in the fashion industry and has her own lines, LC Lauren Conrad and Paper Crown. In 2007 she was contracted to be the spokesperson for Mark, a beauty products company created by Avon. She modelled in their catalogues and promoted their products up until 2010 when she was replaced by someone else. In addition to her acting and fashion carrier, Lauren is also an author and her most notable books are 'L.A. Candy' and 'The Fame Game' series. The popular entrepreneur is successful in many different areas and has proved herself to be a versatile young woman.
