About Le Chameau Chasseur
Le Chameau is a French boot making company which was established in 1927. They produce iconic outdoor work shoes with Chasseur being one of their most popular and renowned boot ranges. The Chasseur is a ?shooting boot?, which is to say, a wellington type shoe which protects the wearer from rain and mud in unpaved terrain such as grassland and wetland.
These boots are mid-calf in length and have a generous 46cm circumference at the calf. Formed from natural rubber the Chasseur was designed to be one hundred percent leak free, and without any gaps or joins in the crafting of the boot, leaks are highly unlikely.
The inside of the boot is lined with soft, full grain leather for comfort and breathability, whilst also providing warmth. A full length zip makes this a boot much easier to put on than the average wellington. It also means that the size of the boots can be judged in terms of comfort when worn rather than ease of putting them on and taking them off.
Thick sturdy soles with a gripping grain make these shoes comfortable to walk in, providing some stability even in muddy conditions.
The Chasseur shooting boots come in a signature khaki green shade with a darker green trim at the sole and feature Le Chameau branding at the top of each boot. Special editions of the shoe may feature slightly different colourways and trims whilst the main design remains the same.
These boots are known for their durability and with good care can last several years.
