About Lego City
Since 1949 The Lego Group, based in Billund, Denmark, has been producing colourful toy sets featuring its famous interlocking building bricks and miniature figures. After releasing thousands of toy sets over the past decades, the Lego City range was launched in 2005. This collection of toy sets includes buildings and figures with a city based theme, which are generally aimed at children aged between five and twelve years of age.

The Lego City range features a variety of large and small toy sets that, when combined, can create a complete Lego city. Major areas of the city include an airport, farm, harbour, forest and emergency services, such as police, fire and coastguard. Each major city area includes a catalogued list of related toys to collect, including buildings, vehicles and people. For example, the Lego City airport includes several toy sets, such as a passenger plane, traveller, airport firetruck, repair truck, helicopter and limousine. The Lego City catalogue also features transport services, including a train station, level crossing, passenger train, rails and garage, amongst others.
Children can count down the days leading up to Christmas Day with a Lego City themed advent calendar. These toy sets feature Christmas themed mini figures and objects, such as a Christmas tree, sled and Father Christmas. The set includes eight mini figures for children to play with and features windows to open on each day leading up to Christmas Day, which reveal a variety of Lego City themed gifts.
