About Lupin Seeds
Spruce up your garden when you plant some glorious lupin seeds. With over 300 species and sub-species from which to choose, you can find lupins of all colours, bloom formations, and heights on eBay. Dwarf species are around 45 cm tall, while tall varieties reach heights of 120 cm. These plants flower from mid-summer to mid-autumn and are very useful as a companion plant in the fruit and vegetable garden, as their scent and bright colours help to attract pollinators, such as bees. Versatile and easy to grow, lupins thrive in full sun, partial shade, or dappled shade. Sow from mid to early spring after soaking in cold water for 24 hours to soften the hard outer shell. For best results, sow the seeds in seed trays with nutrient-rich compost. Press them lightly into the compost, and then cover them lightly with fine, sieved soil. Moisten the soil with a sprayer. Bring beneficial insects, bright colours, and an attractive fragrance to your garden with lupin seeds.
