Magimix Food Processor
The Magimix is a food processor that was originally developed and produced in France, and it was one of the very first food processors to be sold to the general public. This range of processors combines aspects of traditional cooking with cutting-edge technology to accomplish culinary tasks quickly, effectively and relatively quietly.
There are a few different models of the Magimix Food Processor, each with their own unique set of accessories and functions. Pretty much every food processor created by Magimix has only three options to keep things simple and easy. There are three buttons you can press to process your food: stop, auto and pulse. The units are all fitted with a powerful, commercial grade induction motor that comes with a 20 year guarantee. Most of the Magimix models can be bought in a choice of 9 different colours, including classic black or white.
Magimix Mini Plus
The Mini Plus comes with attachments that let you whisk, mix, grate or knead your ingredients. It also comes with a blade and a small bowl for making more delicate dishes or dips and sauces. Just like many of the other packaged Magimix Food Processors, the Mini Plus comes with a recipe book for food processor inspiration.
Magimix Compact 3200
The Compact 3200 is a more powerful processor, with the same attachments that come with the Mini Plus. Although it is larger in size, the hardware is still small enough to be considered space saving and efficient. As with the other Magimix processors you can buy, the Compact 3200 comes with three different-sized bowls so you can organise your cooking effectively. The mini bowl is good for preparing sauces, the midi bowl is better for slicing vegetables, and the larger bowl can hold the finished culinary masterpiece.
Other Magimix Models
Other models of Magimix include the larger Compact 3200 XL, the CS 4200 XL, and the CS XL 5200 Premium. The latter comes with the smoothie mixer, dough bowl and the mash and puree kit (these are usually optional extras).
There are many attachments that come with your Magimix Food Processor, and if you buy a used model, you can still find them separately if you need to. The knife blade is perfect for chopping up harder ingredients, and the slicing discs (both 2mm and 4 mm wide) can cut through softer meats at high speeds. There are two grating discs, one of which is aimed at grating in thick chunks, and the other designed for a fine grating action. There is an optional Parmesan or rasping disc that is designed specifically for grating harder cheeses. Finally, the Julienne disc is designed to finely chop and slice vegetables, making it easy to serve up batons with a dip at a dinner party or similar occasion.
Replacement parts for Magimix food processors are easy to find, with items like shatterproof clear bowls and lids never in short supply.
