About Mens Viking Road Bike

The Viking brand has a first class reputation as a maker of sturdy, high quality, well constructed, reliable bicycles. Viking arose from humble beginnings as a retail business in the Heath Town suburb of Wolverhampton. Founder A. V. Davies originally built his frames in a small wooden shed behind the premises, and became renowned for the quality of his machines, especially those designed for track racing. In the mid Forties the company, now run by the founder?s son, began to export their products, chiefly their road bikes. The first Tour of Britain road race in 1951 was won by Ian Steele on a Viking machine. Peak production levels were attained in the late Fifties, and production only declined as a result of the cheap availability of small cars from the Sixties onward. The company has now been resurrected. While maintaining the attention to detail and quality which established the brand?s impressive reputation, Viking continue to manufacture a range of bicycles to suit all requirements, from electric bikes to men?s road bikes fitted with the latest STI changers and carbon forks. Available are a range of Viking models including the Jetstream, Mistral, Sirocco, San Remo, Vuelta, Retro Clubmaster and more. Some are previously used and others brand new and in their original packaging, or ex shop display. There is a choice of colours and lightweight, high tensile frame sizes and various Shimano gear sets for multiple speeds of power, with handlebar mounted shifters for convenient and easy changes. Carbon forks are available, along with excellent entry level models and more sophisticated bicycles for the more experienced rider.
