About Microwave Brackets

Microwave ovens have evolved tremendously since they were first introduced to the domestic environment many years ago. Far from being used for softening butter and reheating food, modern microwave ovens can now also incorporate a conventional fan oven and grill. Known as ?combi ovens?, these devices can be of considerable size and inevitably therefore, are fairly heavy. Many people prefer to simply place their microwave oven on a worktop. However, in order to maximise the space available in sometimes very small kitchens, a wall mounted microwave oven may provide a better solution. When wall mounting a microwave oven, it is of course vital that the supporting brackets are robust and sturdy enough to bear the weight of the oven. Microwave brackets should preferably be made of steel and designed with well placed screw holes to ensure a firm and reliable installation. Brackets often have a white or stainless steel finish. Some sets of microwave brackets are extendible. These brackets should be of box type construction if they are to be used with a heavy oven. The wall to which the microwave brackets are being attached must be solid enough to support the weight of the microwave unit. Users should note that it is essential that a microwave oven is level. When installing microwave brackets, a spirit level should be used and any supports or other parts of the microwave oven should be suitably adjusted if necessary. Bracket suppliers will not accept liability for faulty installation of brackets or any resulting damage to microwave ovens. Prospective purchasers may therefore wish to seek appropriate advice before installing the selected microwave brackets.
