About Mustang GT
The iconic Ford Mustang GT is not only a fantastic car in its own right; the design of this stunning car has noticeably influenced coupé design since the 1960s. The Mustang GT shot to instant popularity due to its speedy performance and style, which, in turn, influenced a class of so-called American ?pony cars?. This Ford car even attracted the makers of the James Bond film ?Goldfinger?, in which it had a cameo role.
Supposedly named after a WWII Fighter plane, the Mustang GT is an extremely fast car but remains affordable compared to other cars in its range. Known for its usage as a pleasure car, the Mustang GT has also made many impressive appearances on the racing track. With more power behind the GT, compared to the standard Mustang models, they are a very different car to drive and provide a superior experience. All performance related aspects of the car are upgraded from the standard Mustangs, such as suspension, transmission, exhaust and cylinders.
The Mustang was the first car to ever win the Tiffany Gold Medal for excellence in American design, which was a huge achievement and accurately reflects the impressive design of the Mustang range. There is certainly a good reason for the revered status of this time-honoured car. Winning awards for its impeccable handling and beautiful bodywork to this day (including usually remaining on the 1oBest list), the Mustang is currently in its 5th Generation and continues to be sold throughout the world to drivers that like to have fun.
