About Omlet Eglu Chicken House
Originally designed by four graduates from the Royal College of Art back in 2003, the Eglu chicken house, marketed by Omlet Ltd, is an eye-catching, practical and innovative product that?s ideal for small-scale chicken keeping and egg production.
The plastic chicken houses come in a range of colours and their modern, organic design will look great in any garden. The number of chickens that you can keep in an Omlet Eglu chicken house will depend on the breed, but in general you can keep four medium sized chickens or two to three larger breeds in a single house and run.
As the houses are made from plastic, they are durable, easy to clean and able to withstand the elements. The clean surfaces also make it less likely that chickens will be affected by mites and other parasites. If infestations do occur, cleaning and sterilising the coop is a lot easier than with traditional wooden designs.
The chicken runs attached to Eglu chicken houses are specifically designed to keep out foxes and other predators, allowing your chickens to live without fear of attack. Unlike wooden coops, plastic chicken houses don?t require annual maintenance to keep them in good condition. Eglu chicken houses are also specially designed to keep chickens warm in the winter and cool in the summer, making for much happier hens.
As happy, healthy chickens make better eggs, investing in a good quality and well-designed chicken house can make a huge difference to the productivity of your menagerie, helping them to produce great tasting eggs on a regular basis.
