About Prison Break
It isn't often that you find yourself rooting for convicted criminals on a television series, but "Prison Break" isn't your typical television drama. Airing on Fox from 2005 to 2009, the series follows two brothers as they escape from a prison and try to establish one brother's innocence while eluding authorities. Lincoln Burrows is on death row at the Fox River Penitentiary for the murder of the Vice President's brother. Convinced that corrupt government officials have framed his brother for the crime, prison engineer Michael Scofield commits a crime so that he can join Lincoln in prison. The two then plot their escape. The four seasons of "Prison Break" are action-packed and full of plot twists. You'll find yourself pulling for the brothers as they try to uncover a conspiracy and dodge their pursuers at the same time. Even if the basis for the show may be hard to believe, the acting is not. Compelling characters, an engrossing story, and the use of a defunct prison for filming made "Prison Break" a big hit with fans while it aired. The show won numerous awards, such as the 2005 People's Choice Award for favourite New TV Drama, and received two nominations for 2006 Golden Globe Awards. Although "Prison Break" no longer airs, you can watch all of the heart-thumping action on DVD. If you want to see it all in stunning HD, "Prison Break" Blu-ray set is the way to go. Fans of the show who also enjoy gaming will be happy to know that there's even a "Prison Break" video game. "Prison Break" may have only lasted for four seasons, but it won't easily escape from the minds of its fans.
