About Sims 3

You may expect video games that simulate life scenarios do not place high on a gamer's wish list. After all, who wants to relive the drudgery of work or the pain of a dissolved relationship? Well, it appears at least millions of gamers throughout the world enjoy one of the best life simulation games on the market, the Sims game series. With the third installment of the Sims series, Electronic Arts (EA) has created a real-life computer simulation game that players can enjoy on their laptops, desktops, and mobile devices. Gamers can also interact in real-life situations by playing Sims 3 on their PlayStation 3s or Xbox 360s. Games control their Sims wardrobe, activities, and relationships much in the same ways that reflect how people handle the situations in real life. You can create up to 22 female hairstyles and 17 male hairstyles, as well as choose from a variety of hats and clothing accessories. Sims 3 expands the customisable options that players have for creating their Sims, including more clothing colours and textures. The most significant change with Sims 3 is the rabbit hole that presents players with more avenues of escape. Another change concerns the "Wants and Fears" reward system utilised in Sims 2. Sims 3 employs a "wishes" reward system that critics contend is an improvement over the reward system used in Sims 2. Sims 3 hit the market in full stride, as an aggressive marketing campaign increased the game's exposure. EA sold over 1.4 million Sims 3 copies during the first week and the popular video game has steadily increased sales to over 10 million copies.
