About Specialized Tricross
A Specialized Tricross is a type of racing bike that is built by the American bicycle manufacturer Specialized Bicycle Components, Inc. The bicycle is a cross between a long distance racing bike and a cyclo-cross race bike. The Tricross is suitable for riding as a street bike on tarmac or gravel roads, but also offers high performance as an off road bike on dirt tracks. It is a popular all-rounder for commuting, racing or touring. There are various models available, including the Tricross Elite Disc and the Tricross Sport Disc.
Tricross frame is produced from aluminium, which makes it lightweight, durable and comfortable to carry. The bicycle has been designed for tough conditions, due to its cyclo-cross background, so it features various design components with this in mind.
The frame of the bicycle is fitted with a Body Geometry Riva Plus seat, which is padded for comfort on prolonged journeys. The Tricross provides a choice of hand positions and 10 speed gear options. It includes integrated fender mounts and a shoulder friendly top tube.
The brake and shifter cables are housed inside the frame to improve the durability of the bike, protect the cables and improve performance. The Avid BB7 mechanical disc brakes provide powerful breaking, with housed cables that are protected from mud, water and damage.
The Specialized Borough CX Armadillo Elite tires provide excellent traction and breaking, even on off-road tracks or poor weather conditions.
The Tricross is available in a range of sizes from 46 to 61cm.
