About Thomas Sabo
Founded in 1984 by its namesake, Thomas Sabo is a fashion jewellery and watch brand based in Lauf an der Pegnitz, southern Germany. The company sells internationally, in more than 66 countries around the world in a mixture of stand alone and shop-in-shop stores, as well as their online store. Thomas Sabo specialises in jewellery, watches and fragrances. A popular collection by the brand is the Sterling Silver range of products.
2006 saw the company's Charm Club, a selection of 500 different charms for a mix and match style. Following this in 2012 was the Special Addition collection which, under the slogan "Make your own jewellery", allowed various combinations. 2009 saw the start of the company's collection of electro-mechanical quartz wristwatches, coming in three collections: Rebel at Heart, Glam & Soul and Sweet Diamonds. The following year, the Charm Rose beauty segment product line was released with perfumes coming in Charm Rose, Charm Kiss, Rebel at Heart and Glam & Soul. In 2012 Thomas Sabo released the Sweet Diamonds range, a jewellery series consisting predominantly of sterling silver, yellow gold and diamonds. In 2013, the popular Spring/Summer collection was created, using the sterling silver that the company is well known for. This presented products of 925 sterling silver plated with 18k yellow gold or 18k rose gold.
The company's creations are a mixture of the work of jewellery enthusiast and designer Thomas Sabo himself alongside stylist and designer Susanne Kölbli, who had joined Sabo in the design of the Sabo range of products in the early 1990s. Susanne Kölbli is responsible for helping design specifically the 'Silver Jewellery & Accessories' range of products.
