Japanese brand Toyota is one of the leading manufacturers of cars, exporting and manufacturing vehicles of all shapes and specifications across the globe. Part of Toyota?s key to success is producing cars that suit a range of cultural needs: both business cars and those for personal family use. For everyday use the Avensis is a good all round car that can cope with the little jobs such as popping to the supermarket as well as regular long trips for business.

A similar car that can suit every need is the Toyota Corolla. Having been popular since it was first released in 1966, there are spare parts easily available for every updated version that?s been produced since, whether it be petrol or diesel.

About Toyota - Cars, Motorcycles & Vehicles

Toyota started out as the car making subsidiary of the Toyoda Automatic Loom Works. In 1936 the company launched its first car, the AA, which was largely inspired by the Chrysler Airflow. 1937 saw Toyota launched as a separate company. The A series of cars was replaced by the Volkswagen Beetle inspired SA in 1947. This, in common with many other Toyotas of the 1950s and 1960s, was badged as a Toyopet. The Toyota Crown followed in 1955. This car and its successors have been popular as taxis in Japan ever since. The Crown has gone through an extraordinary 14 generations and is still in production today in Japan. Another hugely popular Toyota line has been the make's series of Corolla saloon cars. The first generation Corolla was launched in 1966 and by 1974 the third generation was the biggest selling car in the world. The Corolla has remained one of the world's top selling cars throughout subsequent generations of the design up to the current 11th generation. Of similar impact in its own market segment was the Toyota Hilux pick up truck. These vehicles were introduced in 1968 and have since gone through seven generations. Body styles available include four seater crew cab versions and variants with covered rears. At certain points the Hilux has also been used as the basis of a camper van. The Toyota Prius, launched in 1997, was the world's first mass produced hybrid vehicle. More than three million of these cars have been sold as of 2013.
