About Used Catering Trailer Burger Van

Once you understand everything that?s involved, running a mobile burger bar at a busy weekend pitch can be a lucrative affair. The first priority is, of course, to have a used catering trailer from which to sell the food. Your trailer, and its design and layout, will have a significant impact on how successful you are. Especially if you are just starting out, it makes sense to buy second-hand, and that doesn?t mean skimping on quality. There is a huge selection of used mobile catering vans for sale, in different colours, shapes, styles, conditions and sizes to suit a variety of pockets. The essential features you need to look out for include, of course, a fridge, freezer, chip fryer, tea urn, water heater, double sinks with hot and cold running water, fire extinguisher, generator, a good sized griddle, electric hob plates and probably a four-pot wet bain marie. You might choose to have a commercial coffee machine in your catering trailer. You will also need to decide whether to have a counter-top fryer or one that stands on the floor, and what sort of electricity generator to have. Find out exactly fittings and fixtures are included with your van as this will naturally vary considerably between models. Look for current gas and electricity safety certificates so that you can start trading immediately, and how many months remain on the warranty for the generator. Finally, the quality and size of working surfaces are also important, and will make a big difference to how efficiently you work.
