Tour de France: The ultimate test of strength and endurance
Each year since 1930, cyclists from around the globe have gathered in France for the multi-stage bicycle race known as the Tour de France. A roughly 3,500-mile race for professional teams only, the Tour de France is not for the faint of heart. Over the span of 23 days, riders must cycle through the beautiful countryside and the famous French Alps in a time-trialed course that eliminates anyone who cannot keep up.
