HTC One X - 32 GB - Gray (Unlocked) Smartphone

I got this phone as an upgrade from from the Wildfire S.

I am a student and I am pleasantly surprised by the performance of this phone, it seems to just do the job every time it is needed. The number of features at my disposal here are almost endless it seems, I figure out new ways to use the camera everyday and still astounded as to the quality of the camera this phone has and the camera features. I can embarrass one of my friends who has a £500+ digital SLR camera when it comes to the ease of use and quick setup and sometimes even the quality of the photos I am presented with on the amazing screen on this device. I experience no slowdown when playing games or surfing the web so I am free to surf at my own pace.

The one thing i find disappointing about this phone is its battery life. Usually it isn't a big problem for me because at some point during the day I am in my room and I am able to top it up a bit while I am there. The issue is when I am unable to do that so I have to think about my usage of the phone to prevent the battery dying. Quite a few times I have come back after a night out and just scraped 3% as I get back.

Most of my peers own similar spec phones and I would say the HTC One X camera hands down beats any other phone. The battery life is below par compared to similarly priced phones and everything else I would say is fairly even.

I brought this as an upgrade from my Desire HD, but have owned an iPhone 4 too.

Screen is stunning. Hugely impressive with good brightness even in sunshine and excellent viewing angles. The Sense UI 4 is a big upgrade over Sense 3, far faster and more responsive. ICS has lots of cool features too.

The Camera is the superstar here, being very responsive and giving great quality pictures. Even the video (1080) is high quality with little lag and compression artifacts. The sound quality is excellent, although without the Beats EQ turned on it's a bit thin. Thankfully any earphones allow the Beats EQ to be used.

Downsides are the usual Android thing that the selection/quality of games aren't much compared to iOS. However the Tegra 3 games are insane quality, easily as good looking as my PS Vita. Productivity is as spotless as anyone could hope to expect.

Battery life, which seems to be the biggest flaw when reading reviews, is much better than I expected. With medium gaming, permanent WiFi, pushed email etc I can get a full day out of it. Ultra heavy gaming and GPS on mean you probably get 10 hours, but sensible usage is an overnight charge only.
Build quality is exceptional and browsing/youtube etc all work buttery smooth.

If you want a ludicrously powerful handset, with no dropped calls, stunning quality screen and camera, this is the chap. Just understand the Android market is still lagging behind the Apple version.

POWER! this phone has plenty. as it has the 1.5GHZ Quad core processor ( The most powerful in a phone). Every app you can find it will play seamlessly, and it can miltitask many apps and you don't see the phone slow down at all. My old phone was the HTC Desire HD so I knew that with the HTC Sense U.I. I wasn't going to be let down, and they have cracked it again with manny new fetures. The Camera is excellent, it auto focuses so quick you are always in focus to get the best shots. Slow motion video recording is very good, the quality reduces but frame-rate goes through the roof! I thought that I was going to be upset with the battery. On my old phone I had to take my charger everywhere with me, but this is lasting me 40 HRS average with moderate use of camera games etc.. The Screen is beautiful, on very bright days with the sun shining on it it is still so clear and easy to read. the overall picture is precisely crisp. I love my music and with Beats Audio and using my Shure SE535 in ear phones it sounds like the artist is with me. Superb! even with cheaper headphones the quality is still good.

I bought this product because i wanted a big screen phone so i can watch movies and TV shows on.

i like this product because its big, its fast, amazing camera, very good game quality. what i don't like about this product is the battery life the max i can get is one day and that's with using everything to save battery life.
i like this product a lot comparing to the Samsung galaxy s2 and s3 its got a very good and slim design. although the battery life is weak, all the other phones like s2 and s3 have weak battery life. so i think this phone does triumphant.

This is still one of the best smartphones out there, although it's almost an year old. I highly recommend it due to its terrific design, ease of accessibility and wonderful display. Bare in mind that applications such as Advanced Task Killer must be used, in order to optimize battery life.
