The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson (Paperback, 2008)

Excellent book, I read it within 2 days of buying it, its hard to put down. Iv heard a lot about the movies that have been made of this series so decided to read the books first. if you love your thrillers that leave you hanging on the edge of your seat then i highly recommend this. it will NOT disappoint.

so many superlatives have been written about this trilogy, believe them all, read them before you see the films.
it is such a shame that Stieg never got to see his own success.

I am not one for believing in Hype....but in this case it lived up to it's billing. Persevere with the first couple of chapters and you will not be disappointed. The lead characters are well detailed and the story compelling if somewhat disturbing at times. A sleepy Scandanvian suburb is the the scene for this exciting thriller and quite an unusual plot is played out in the frozen north. I won't go into too much detail for those that still haven't read...but suffice to say I am looking forward to part 2 of the trilogy with eager anticipation.

Fantastically written, gripping storyline, amazing characters. An excellent book and the whole trilogy is excellent.

I bought this because I heard a lot about it and thought I'd take a punt and it was well worth it.

This was a fantastic read. Original characters, exciting plot and a good few twists and turns in the story. The settings were also good (being mostly Sweden with a few other locations later on).

Sometimes the story could get slowed down in naming all the people and places but otherwise sound.
