Adam Ant - Hits (2000)

I liked the tone, harmonics and beat of the music melody, which is why i bought it. I did not like all the lyrics however they go on about hitting and being goody two shoes, which reminded me of school teachers hitting pupils at boarding school. However Adam and the Ants are a great band and have a good following with many fans and this purchase on eBay was a good one, no scratches, played perfectly and the case was intact. The Antz videos are also very good so I'll be looking out for some of those originals in the future. Ant Muzic Ant Muzic Ant Muzic ... The music has a quick beat and is full of energy that inspires me.

If you're of an age - or even if you're not judging by you tube comments from the current generation - Adam and the Ants will bring back more memories than you probably want to remember. And this CD has ALL the tracks you will want to remember and more besides. Heavy on drums, light on serious stuff (there's no political messages here!), you can't fail to sing along, bop around and revel in the past! With one of the best punk guitarists around providing musical direction and composition and arguably one of the best looking guys of the time fronting the band, they really couldn't go wrong. These days you can pick this CD up for next to nothing so do just that - spend a couple of pounds and have a ball, Ant warrior!!

Fewer tracks on this year 2000 greatest hits album than the 1991 "Antics In The Forbidden Zone" but it is strangly better for it. The obscure tracks have been removed leaving just the cream so you wont be skipping tracks as often. Adam Ant was a pirate, a highwayman a bit eccentric but always very original.

This was bought as an Easter present for my parter who was an Adam Ant fan back in the day. If you're of the same mind as her, then I'msure you'll love it - but it's unlikely to win many new admirers. It hasn't aged well at all.
