Although this is by no means one of the high end range of cassette walkmans, it is not far behind in terms of sound quality. The 4-step tone adjustments don't really add up to much, although there is a noticeable bass enhancement on the "jazz" setting. It is very easy to use with a clear tape view window, and the 2 rechargeable AA batteries, which I use, last a good long time.
It has an all plastic body and is light in weight.
All in all, you couldn't ask for more at this price.
