Amazon Kindle Touch 4GB, Wi-Fi, 6in - Silver

- It was made clear to me by the vendor that this Kindle Touch comes from USA and is not generally availble in the UK.
- My reason for wanting to aquire it was in order to carry documents as well as books to read while on frquent long journeys. This seems a magic way of avoiding carrying weighty documents or my lap top. I didn't want the external keyboard because it added to weight and size.
- I went to Amazon.com and read some very helpful and professional reviews - it appeared absolutely what i wanted.
- It arrived in its original unopened packing. It fulfills its function as a reader with no problems whatsoever and the battery life seems longer than I was led to expect.
- I downloaded my first document - it was there on my Kindle in a flash - great; however subsequent documents have not been recognised. The Amazon support has been HOPELESS. I registered the problem by telephone somewhere around the 16th January 2012 - I have made 4 subsequent calls and been told that technicians are dealing with the problem. They still have not resolved the problem and i am still waiting to be updated.
- I have written this review in response to a request from ebay and also because I do not know why my Kindle is not functioning as expected.
- If what you want is a really good reader with textual facilities you could do no better at the moment.
- Make sure it does what you want it to do before purchasing.

Nice little light-weight book reader - very easy to use with an Amazon account of course... I have been reading books and it is fantastic - and because I have several books added still to read, I can just jump to the next one when finished. Lighter to hold than a book and you can select the print size you want. Installing a dictionary has also been very useful. Battery life is good (this model has no back-light). Slightly sensitive on the page turning... I sometimes have to be careful how I hold it too! But a wonderful little gadget!

I had a few reseverations before buying kindle touch U.S., weather it would download books etc.,from Amazon U.K.would i need an adaptor ect, the answer No. The Amazon touch, is my new right hand, i can not stop buying books, only trouble is, i need more time to read. I would recomend this to anyone, its the best present of my life.I mean where could you get any book you want 24/7? You no longer loose your place in a book,it's light and easy to transport so in constant use.

I bought this kindle because I am going abroad and it will be much easier than carrying tones of books. I really like this kindle touch the only downside is that the touch screen at times is too sensitive.
The text to speech option is a bit of a waste because that voice doesn't have any sort of expression or intonation while reading since it is literally reading word by word.
I love the dictionary and the fact that you can have more than one dictionary in it, even though you can only use one at the time.
It also connects to wikipedia which is always helpful.
It would also be nicer if it was as light as the basic kindle.

I love it :D its a great size to take anywhere, this kindle saves loads of space as I read ALLOT. I also have difficulty reading books as the type is too small but I can enlarge the text to suite me and it is very clear. It is so easy and simple to use and I'm so glad I bought it.
