The silver Apple M9177B/A has an anodized aluminum case which makes it look sleek and elegant. With this Apple Cinema display, you can arrange documents side by side and left to right. You can connect this 20-inch LCD directly to any Powerbook G4 with a DVI port which will also enable you to use an Apple display with a PC. You can use multiple displays seamlessly with this Apple Cinema display. Each display of this 20-inch LCD includes a FireWire 400 hub and a USB 2.0 hub with two ports each, hence this will enable you to connect a printer, scanner, digital camera or camcorder also. With the Apple M9177B/A, you can view a web page on the browser and look at its code next to it at the same time.

I bought this monitor mainly due to price. The monitor was described to have one minor 10mm scratch on the screen, and at certain angles this isn't even visible.
Connecting to a unibody macbook involves a thunderbolt to dvi converter ( also if you want to use the screens firewire ports a firewire 800 to 400 converter is needed with unibody macs although I do not have the screens firewire ports connected to my macbook and it does not effect the screen working.)
Setting up was simple as apple have a manual online to demonstrate set up. This includes which screen is the main desktop screen when the display is attached and instructions to allow closing the laptop and leaving the display screen active.
A disadvantage is that the screen only has a + and - for brightness and a power button and no other controls.
Aesthetically the screen looks great and performs well although the screen is not as clear, sharp or rich in colour as the new style cinema displays (or even my macbook) but this should be expected with older technology. Saying that the display is great for a larger viewing area if you are working on large design projects in photoshop / CAD and other such programs.
If you want an apple display and cannot justify buying one new or simply cannot afford a new one then I highly recommend these cinema displays.

Everything OK, screen suitable for normal computers as well. No scratches, good display, nice colors. I really recommend it for the others!
