A fantastic looking machine and credit to Apple for creating what is at the moment at least, a timeless design. almost 4 years and the MacBook Pro is still using the same design it lunched with.
The display on the macbook is very nice, its nice to see a company taking resolution seriously compared to the poor quality screens which use 736/764 vertical pixels on screens this size and even bigger!
The MacBooks screen quality is beautiful and brightness is perfect. i have never used it for extended periods at full brightness as it is just too bright but unlike some windows counter parts it also dims very low and even switches the backlight off.
the chassis is made of a tough aluminium and feels very sturdy. however it is still not completely scratch proof, but a lot better than plastic. The only downside is the weight. for such a small laptop is does have some heft to it but is a small price to pay for the quality.
The battery life is superb, especially compared to windows counter parts. consistently getting 4/5 hours of solid use on a charge including music, web browsing, instant messenger and photoshop.
the performance is very good however not perfect. it has slowed down occasionally when multitasking with too many things (lack of ram). Some things occasionally freeze for no reason. with windows i knew what caused most of the time here i don't.
Learning anew operating system has been a learning curve and i am still learning new tweaks and shortcuts but that will come with time.
The speakers on this laptop are poor and really not that loud, however on the move i use headphones and at home they desktop speakers so i don't tend to use them too much.
The value for money is fairly good i fell. It is possible to gets cheaper windows laptop of the same specification but none built quite as well, none that will last quite as long, and none that look so beautiful. The final point for value for money is ease of use and this for me is worth a lot.
Setting it up was simple no need to perform undress of updates,no need to download drivers that were missing. as the adverts claim everything does just work.
and finally i am able to use iTunes without becoming frustrated. It runs silky smooth on a mac and its a real shame it wasn't so good when i had my pc as i would have used it much more. Downloading content was a breeze and syncing it to the iPhone wirelessly feels like how it should have been done all along.
There are only a few downsides.
-weight
-no vga/hdmi port. its very annoying that i have to have a separate adaptor
-following the herd, it does feel like everyone i know has one of these.. however maybe that is just a testament to how good they are.

The lap top was only four months old. As with most electronics these days, it pays to get the latest you can in order to "future proof" as much as possible.
It also meant that there was the remaining warranty which was easily transferred using the Apple registration facility. The seller also provided the original receipt as proof of purchase. Again an added bonus.
The computer itself is one of Apple's latest and is a very capable machine with a fast processor and good battery life. A generous 320gB hard drive is installed.
Although expensive, I find Apple products generally worth buying. My eleven year old iMac is still going strong and is in regular use.

Awesome machine, extremely fast, does everything Apple says it does. Looks and performs beautifully. So easy to use, you can literally have 20 applications open at once without any problems. I love this machine, get one. Quality, you can't beat a Mac.
