Apple MacBook Pro 15.4" Laptop - MC373B/A (April,2010)

One of the best decisions i have made is forgetting windows and changing to
a virus free machine, it took 15 years of blindness to see the light., anyway
my Macbook pro i7 boots up quickly, has a crystal clear screen, is logical in
it`s layout, a responsive touch screen., all positives - the only negative is it`s a bit pricey.

just like what i exspected beautful laptop made by apple. run programs and tasks very very fast, laptop itself is better looking anbd more sturdy than anything youll find on the PC market. screen looks amazing. lve everytihng about it so far, would recomend anyone considering to not to consider to much and just buy one..

The macbook pro core i7 is a great laptop. And well worth the money,if you're going to use it to it's full potential.
This is my first mac. Although I have used them before, this is the first one I've owned.

SO basically I needed a laptop -and had some money to invest in one. (You do invest in a mac by the way...it's not like a PC,if you keep it in great condition 2, 3, 4 years down the line, it'll still be considerably valuable.)
SO I choice was to either buy a PC laptop,could buy a decent one of those for about £500 or buy a mac... £1799. I had phases of thinking I prefered the PC-as it was the norm and clearly better value for money? And then phases of wanting the mac.
The mac appealed to me because; it's a whole new operating system...which mean't getting away from the slightly troublesome windows. The impressive battery life. The beautiful slim design. The apple software available and it's great reputation for being a great laptop for creative minds and design. And perhaps one of the best things.... no PC viruses.
So in the end I bought it.

And it's great. Really lives up to it's reputation. Going from mainly using a desktop PC to a laptop is kind of uncomfortable though. And given the choice,I still prefer to use my desktop PC when I'm at home for ease of use, and its so much more comfortable. Rather than hunching over a laptop with a smaller screen, squished keyboard and uncontrollable trackpad! So I've just ordered a wireless mouse (logitech MX performance mouse) and the apple wired numeric keyboard to go with it. Ordered them both from apple, so I can use the mac more like a desktop PC while I'm at home and then benefit from it's portability when I'm out and travelling. This will hopefully also keep it in better condition. As I won't be using the keyboard as much.
I would also advise buying a case or 2! For the laptop. Sooner rather than later... to prevent any scratches/bumps. A laptop sleeve and then a hard case aswell if you're travelling around with it.
The speck seethru hard case from the apple store is great. £39.99. Well worth it though,really un-intrusive and fits fantastically.
A screen protector is also something to consider,as although it might reduce the clarity of your screen...apples screens are pretty high quality,that as soon as you scratch it,its pretty much game over!
Ooh and another thing,definitely buy iwork as your base document program rather than office. Office on a PC is great, but iwork was made for the mac...which means it works amazingly with mac. Whereas office,being designed by Microsoft for windows and only adapted for mac. Office is nowhere near as good as it is on windows, on mac. The program has been reduced and definitely doesn't run as smoothly for mac. The program iwork runs flawlessly, and is really designed for the mac user. It's very visual and has some really great features. Another great thing about iwork is that all iwork documents are compatible with Office. So that means that if you are working on your mac at home,you can use iwork and then take it into work/school/college/university and open and edit the document in Microsoft office. Which I think is a great feature considering the majority of offices use windows.

Overall this is a very well thought out creative workstation definitely worth investing in!

But make sure you buy from an established buyer. Preferably apple or directly from amazon (who sell it for £150 cheaper).

Its a mac with a big screen and its pretty damn fast too. Loads photoshop in a matter of seconds. does everything expected of it, and more.

I bought this machine against my Old, slow windows based laptop. I am very new to macs, and at 1st before I actually bought it, I was too concerned whether if I will be comfortable using mac and that too shall I take a risk of paying 3times to something similar spec on Windows. So I finally bought it and I am amazed with the performance, its a state of art laptop, strong, reliable, compatible, BUT VERY EXPENSIVE - machine and its accesories and other spfteares too!!!

But otherwise excellent.
