Apple iPod mini 2nd Generation Pink (4 GB)

This is still a fantastic music player. The original concept was sound and later additions to the ipod collection such as the Nano have only built on top of this original platform.
I bought it for my 5 year old daughter, so knowing that it would likely receieve a number of knocks, I didn't want to buy something too expensive. Also they come in pink. The 4Gb capacity allows for a reasonable variety of music to be loaded but with further scope for the future.
The user interface is really easy to read and interact with.
Unfortunately the battery life was not fantastic due to the age of the unit, however, I easily replaced the battery for less than £5, ordered through Ebay and using instructions on Youtube.
Finally, for extra protection I also bought a silicon cover (again through Ebay)for a couple of quid, which also allows it to be hung on a lanard, making it easier for my daughter to keep hold of it.
From my point of view a real bargin which I am sure that my daughter will get at least a couple of years use from.

This item was an earlier model of the Apple ipod nano. But it was in excellant condition. My daughter thinks it's better than the new style as it's more chunky, she feels it will stand more wear and tear. She feels it will take more knocks without being scared,it will cause any problems or damage!! As present day models are thin and flimzy, and she feels you have to be more carfull to prevent damage. This product is great for storage of music,audio books, pictures and other things.. It is versitile as an in car sterio system used with a in car i-trip reciever.. This item is suitable for all ages.

Better than the gen 1, has a much better battery life. this is quite a basic ipod, no fancy colour displays or video playback, but it's built pretty solid and are easier to repair than nano's as they're bigger and easily accessible. I re sprayed mine as I can't stand pink, this is my second pink one and I was starting to get a reputation for it!:D watch out for Ipod chunkies- oops, I mean Mini's that have poor battery life, these are getting quite antiquated now and they do tend to lose charge easily, and if that's the case, you'll have to change the battery (instructions on y0utube)
It's cheapness is it's most redeeming feature; few will rob you for it, they were built with better quality than the more popular main stream produced nanos (decent quality connector pins), if it goes wrong it's cheap enough to replace, there are plenty around, and dispite all that, they're still compatible with docking stations.
This is my second Ipod Chunk-... mini, the first one uncured death by connection lead. (make sure yours is not shorting out)
pink's the way forward, so long as you're handy with masking tape and a spray can, pink's your thing or you're a lady.

After breaking my iPod Classic 160GB (oops!) I bought this to use while saving up for a new classic. I do listen to a lot of music, so the capacity is a bit of a let down, and I need to carefully decide which songs I want on my iPod :P However, this iPod does exactly what it says! I enjoy it much more than an iPod touch and the design is very cool! Great little buy. :)

Perfect condition, looks very cute and is a great accessory to have. Plenty of storage space, easy to use and works well with my laptop! Although it is a bit heavier than I imagined, it is still a great bargain - very pleased! x
