Day 2 of my new iPod nano Gen 3
Created: 31/03/11
I'm a technophobe at heart, but wanted to be able to play audio books on my regular walks without having to cart a machine around in my trolley basket.(yes, you're getting the right age-profile vibes). On consulting with my hairdresser I decided to go for an iPod (learning along the way that it's one make of MP3 player). Two days ago the tiniest little slip of a thing arrived with a lead. The instructions were easy to find on the internet, which helped me understand that what looked like an "on" switch was actually a "lock" switch. I don't know how but I negotiated iTunes and Audible.com fine until the download stage. I then had conceptual problems - syncing was new to me. Consulting with a couple of younger (20 something) friends sorted out the problem...the next was deleting the old tunes the iPod had arrived with, but with my friend Google to hand all went smoothly. So two days later I have a favourite novel safely installed on the iPod and comfortingly also on the laptop should any malicious techno imp spirit it away. A two day relationship is quite a long time in techno terms but I think we will be very happy together and would recommend any other reluctant dinosaur to give it a go.

Apple Ipod Nanon 3rd generation silver (GB) Mp3 Player

The sound quality seems to be very similar to an old Ipod classic I used to own. the compact size seems very handy when storing it and it's very easy to carry around.
In terms of transport and storage, I'd probably give it 5/5.
The sound quality does not suffer from making a device this compact as I had previously imagined, I listen to a number of genres ranging from classical to heavy metal and it plays them all well. I'd reccommend buying a decent pair of ear phones to get the full detail out of the device itself.
In terms of sound quality, I'd give it a 4/5 simply because I have had better products and I know it can always be better.
Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and hope to enjoy this device for another year or so before perhaps changing to another. Not sure how long this will last me, it hasn't given up on me yet so I'm guessing it's doing fine.

my first iPod only just bought because my daughter has one the same and has had for 3 years. nice and compact, plays videos which is a bonus. Great if you want an iPod for what an iPod's for - music! no need for any fancy extras. brilliant bargain on ebay for 45 quid including pretty case. Why buy an iPhone?!

I love the design: small and simple. Useful for simply listening to music and it's pocket size. Can also do more things like see photos and play games. Wouldn't ask for more

For a cheap iPod as a present, this iPod works just great for general use.

I bought this for my younger sister who is only 7, but very smart and she knows how to use iPods and computers really well, and since she likes to use my iPhone a lot for music, I thought to buy her an iPod of her own. It works well, the size works great for younger, smaller people, and it is easy for her to carry around in her small pockets! The iPod is simple to navigate, and it has enough space to store the music a 7 year old could ever want (or need).
