Apple Ipod nano 5th 16GB
Purchased this as a present for my husband. It was easy to download from the PC and has a huge memory capacity. It is a very slim/compact unit, ideal for taking on holiday and sitting in the garden etc. He struggles with technology but found it very easy to operate with a good sound quality. There is a camera/video capacity but it is full with music so haven't tried that yet. Attractive unit in all and much superior to my small mp3 players.
Ipod nano 4th Gen, 8 GB, Pink.
My husband has a blue Ipod which I loved to borrow for walking the dog, washing the car etc, so he bought me a pink one for my birthday. I was expecting a 5th gen but got an 4th gen as the seller misadvertised the product but I am still happy with the Ipod, as my main aim was to just listen to music.
I have put around 400 songs onto my Ipod and have not even half filled its memory, I've also put some photo's on it, the picture is very good, not to mention the sound!
It is easy to connect to the PC and easy to add and remove songs, create playlists etc.
It can do much more though, it has an alarm, calendar etc if you wanted to use it to its full potential.
The battery life is very good and the colour and casing is attractive.
There are loads of accessories such as arm bands, headphones, mains chargers, protective covers available for this product which makes it more versatile.
I can't compare it to any other Ipod but would certainly recommend it.
i pod gen 5
Love the video camera, different colours and the excellent quality of the i pods. I wouldn't buy any other MP3 player as i dont feel they are to the same high standard that apple produce.
Ipod 8gb nano
The Ipod nano is small and packed full od additional features like the calorie counting pedometer. Easy to use with great storage capacity. integral camera for video capture although doesn't take stills or not that ive found as yet. All in all a great buy!
Nano versus Sony
Probably the best looking 'Nano' that 'Apple' have produced but sound quality is easily bettered by the likes of 'Sony' for less than half the price! High quality finish which seems to grow scuffs and scratches just by looking at it! Battery life also very poor in comparison to 'Sony' etc. I really would like to praise this item but feel unable to do so with a clear conscience! The final nail in the coffin is the fact that you need to download and use 'Itunes' to be able to use it properly and get the best out of it! Personally I hate 'Itunes'. It has caused me more grief and agravation than any other program I have used in the last 20 years! This item was bought specifically to use in the car which has a special connection for it built in.
Were it not for this fact I would not touch it with a barge pole. The item itself is very slippery and difficult to control with it's over sensitive touch controls which to my mind make it inpractical to use easily, even if sitting in a static and comfortable arm chair.
Would I recommend it? Definitely not!
My 'Sony' unit which I also bought second hand offf ''Ebay' for half the price of the 'Nano' is vastly superior in every way except one. It looks better, sounds better, feels better, handles better and has an outstanding battery life! The ony thing it falls down on is video capability. It is long winded and quite fiddly to transfer video to the 'Sony'
But, if you want to listen to high quality music, reliably and for long periods forget the 'Nano'. Just like the headphones that 'Apple' supply with it, it is also rubbish.
This probably sounds harsh but trust me! I have used both items in conjunction with three different sets of headphones (all costing over £60)and there is no doubt at all which is best, SONY wins every time! The 'Nano' now stays permanently in the car! Whereas the 'Sony' goes everywhere with me and gives me great pleasure.......always!
