Apple iPod touch 3rd Generation Black (8 GB)

The iPod Touch (stylized and marketed as lowercase iPod touch; also colloquially referred to as the iTouch,[7] by analogy to the iPhone) is a portable media player, personal digital assistant, handheld game console, and Wi-Fi mobile device designed and marketed by Apple Inc. The iPod Touch adds the multi-touch graphical user interface to the iPod line. It is the first iPod with wireless access to the iTunes Store, and also has access to Apple's App Store, enabling content to be purchased and downloaded directly on the device. As of March 2011, Apple has sold over 60 million iPod Touch units.[8][9]

This is a replacement for an earlier 1st gen touch which I was really pleased with. I am well aware that you can get a phone that does everything that this does and more , but I dont always want to carry a big phone with me or drain the battery buy playing games etc.

This is really the best portable entertainment device available , I currently have over 60 games , 100's of songs and many videos to watch. It also provides a great internet browsing experience using wifi. Battery life is excellent , screen is brihgt and clear and extra responsive. I would strongly recommend this over something like a psp or another brand of mp3 player as this does so much more, there really is every app you could want.

The only downside is that I find new apple products a little over priced, but there are very few competitors the only other one that did all this i could find was an archos internet tab , but the reviews were poor so I bought my second one of these. Angry birds alone will keep the kids and myself quiet on a long journey! Cant afford an iPad get this instead and tell everyone its a mini iPad!

The iPod touch 3rd generation is obviously still a nice product even though the 4th generation is out now. The thing that appeals to me is the price. They have dropped considerably on eBay now there is the 'new thing'. So I nabbed one cheap at £90.

But the story doesn't end there. I have also got myself an Apple Peel 520, which is an accessory that turns 1st 2nd and 3rd generation iPods into phones. This cost £60. Although it won't be anything like as impressive as the snazzy iPhone 4, it will still be a convincing an economical alternative.

I bought this product because I needed an up-to-date iPod without paying stupid amounts of money. Also it feels good knowing you've got an iPod instead of a £5 MP3 player... the brand makes it count!

Got the product as a replacement for my iphone 4s as I now have a windows phone.

It is a great product but with the main issue of battery life as with most apple products. It is very handy however it is meant to be an mp3 player. The ipod does not get signal for any apps and as they run on the internet that is a problem.
