Apple iPod touch 4th Generation Black (8 GB)

I purchased the product, because I have a Ipod 3G, and I wanted the camera on the device so I could use skype video chat, and facetime.
I like
-The retina display
-Camera that shoots 720p HD video
-All the applications available on the app store.
-It's slim design, and goes in pocket easy.
-I like that it's got the use of POP3/IMAP functions in mail.

I dislike
-Nothing!

Seriously it's the perfect device for anyone, obviously it's a music player, but it's more than that Apple created a highly sophisticated product, and it's really getting better as Apple Inc is progressing. Technology is getting smaller, everythings getting faster. It has the best display of all other devices as it's a retina. It's battery is impressive, and I don't have to charge it everyday! maybe 3 times week depending on how much I use it, but if it's just for music then maybe longer.

The most striking thing about the new iPod touch is that it looks almost exactly like an old iPod touch, only thinner. When you learn about the improvements packed into the fourth generation of what is now the bestseller of Apple’s iPod range, it’s hard not to be surprised. The new iPod touch has an HD video camera, a second, front-facing, camera, a gyroscope for motion-sensing apps and the high-resolution Retina display like the one that graces the iPhone 4.

FaceTime video calling, which uses the front-facing camera, means that an iPod touch is getting closer to being a phone too. Admittedly, the calls work only to iPhone 4s or other iPod touches at the moment and require a wifi connection but this is a significant step forward.

Games, text and photos all look astonishingly sharp.

The video shot by the phone looks wonderful on this screen too but the fact that it shoots in 1280-by-720 resolution at 30 frames-per-second means that it will also look good on your computer or your television.

This is the best portable media player on the market and if you have been dithering in acquiring one - dither no more. They are worth every penny.

Had the ipod4G for a couple of months now. I do not understand why eBay nag you to do a review as soon as you receive the the product. It is like a book review based on the front cover. Anyhow, the ipod4. It as purchased used to replace a similar ipod2 purchase. In true Apple style (Greed?), one by one , the apps refused to update due to the ios being too old. Who decides this? Apple, of course! I decided to skip a generation and chose a used ipod4G. Buying used is always fraught with danger but this time I struck lucky and picked one very well cared for (thanks again 5974karen). It runs the latest ios version so should be reasonably future-proof. The addition of a camera front and rear adds to the usability although it is not used much personally. Its main use is when travelling for both info (me) and entertainment (my son). In this respect, it has paid for itself a few times over, ie: no more missed trains & buses!

What a gr8 product, I got an Ipod to listen to music and enjoy a few Apps.

Initial setting up of device was simple,just plug into computer usb and follow instructions (Check your batt is charged first).

I dislike the fact that it does not have a built in radio.

I like the shape and feel of the Ipod Touch G4

Using Apple istore is very easy.

Price is rather expensive as cheap mp4 products are on the market, however this is so much more than an MP4 player.

Like front and rear camera although not the highest mega pixel.

Like the screen size and resolution.

Instruction manual is very small, too be honest my electric toaster user manual has ten times as many pages. This product is so easy to use that you learn as you go.

The iPod 4th Generation is really amazing. As an mp3 player it is worth every penny spent. But to access the additional features of the iPod you need a network connectivity. This is where the iPod vs the iPhone takes place. Though the iPod has a wi-fi connection it limits you to taking it around. For price its worth every penny but if I had a choice between an iPhone and an iPod.. It would definitely be the iPhone... just because I would be able to use the internet anywhere and everywhere and also make calls.
