Austin Powers - Goldmember (DVD 2002)

Sometimes you just need to chill out and laugh your t!ts off. Mike Myers is excellent in all of the Austin Powers movies. I am a die hard James Bond fan, so I don't usually like Bond spoof movies. However, this series of films is so original and entertaining that one can't fail to be amused.
So long as you have no problem suspending disbelief and enjoy looking at Beyonce's very flat stomach, you will love this movie. Michael Caine puts in a very amusing performance, he effortlessly delivers comedy lines to great effect.

In case you don't know, the basic premise of the movie is that Goldmember has developed a superwhizzo device that will allow Dr Evil to take over the world. Austin Powers goes backwards and forwards in time to prevent Goldmember and Dr Evil succeeding. Basic format really, but there are some twists and turns and protagonists switching sides in true James Bond style.

I hope Mr Myers makes another one, these movies are great and worth watching time and time again.

this is an amzing film. i loved it and have done since i was young, wrong i know.
throughout the years no matter how many times i watch this film it makes me laugh. there is no doubt this is a funny film and you dont need to have seen the other two films to understand this one.the humour in this film is mainly/all sexual so if thats not what your into dont even think of getting this film because its crammed full of these jokes. also i know a few people who find the character of austin powers incredibly annoying. however if youve seen the cover, dont hate him and think this film would be good to add to your collection your right.its a great laugh when having your friends round and i thouroughly enjoyed it.

This film is a must see if you want a laugh! Mike Myers is brilliant at playing the different characters and this film has many special appearances from famous people.
I think this one was the best out of all three and i hope they are going to make another one!
The good thing about this film is you dont have to watch the other two to understand this one.
I bought this DVD because i saw this film a while ago and it's one of those films you can watch over and over again and still find it hilarious!

I recommend this film to those who like a silly, teenager sort of sense of humour (but also very funny to adults)

There is just one small downside that i can think of and that it is a bit too long (as with the other two)

A must have in your DVD collection!!!

While this is still not as funny as the first one, it's still worth watching. It has a load of recycled jokes from both of the earlier films, and a little too many references to the first, in my opinion. It's not entirely bad though, after a slow start it kicks off and gets very funny, very quickly. Most of the old characters return, with a few new ones too. The plot is pretty much the same old deal from the first two, still spoofing old Bond movies. The acting is still pretty good. The characters are more colorful in this one, I think. More developed, perhaps. The sexual crude humor is still there, and is better here than in the second movie, I think. The first is still the best, but if you only see one of the sequels, I recommend you see this one. I thought the twist-in-the-end was pretty lame, but it didn't entirely ruin the movie, as it didn't seem totally out of character or totally unbelievable. I'd recommend this to anyone who liked either or both of the first two movies. The humor is mostly the same, and people who enjoyed the first two will most likely also enjoy this one. 7/10

Everytime I want to be cheered up, I just have to watch this dvd!!  Always makes me laugh, and I feel, the funniest Austin Powers out of all the three!!  Loads of top stars make an appearance, and hilarious all the way through!!  FAB!!
