I bought this BT Home Hub 2.0 to replace my older equipment and tidy up my system. Previously I had a separate ADSL modem, ethernet switch and a wireless router: all powered 24 hours a day and all with their own supplies. Replacing these with the Home Hub 2.0 saves me £25 a year in electricity costs.
Added to this the Home Hub 2.0 performs so much better. My Broadband speed has doubled and the wireless "N" is a great improvement over the older system. Previously we had to leave doors open so the wireless could reach the furthest corner of our house and even then it was an intermittent signal, now we don't even think about it, it just works.
The BT Home Hub 2.0 is also a "looker". I appreciate that physical appearance is low on the list of priorities when you are choosing an ADSL modem, but this is a really beautiful design - probably the nicest there is. Putting it in a place where it can be seen, necessary for a good wireless sinal, is no longer a problem.
The only downside is that the BT Home Hub 2.0 is locked to BT and you can't use it with any other Internet Service Provider. If it wasn't for this it would be perfect.

Purchased September 2011. Excellent item installed according to the clear and straightforward instructions using the CD supplied and up and running in less than 10 minutes. A set of unwinking blue lights indicates status - the only thing I dislike about this hub is that the internet lights don't flash to indicate web traffic as they did on the original BT Home Hub. Otherwise it sits in the corner and does its job perfectly.
It's hardwired so I can't comment on the wireless function.

The BT Home Hub 2.0 (Infinity Edition) provides 3 network connections plus a wireless N connection, there is also a USB connection which I think can be used to attach a hard drive to share on the network. It is easy to set up and looks smart, but can only be used if you are a BT Infinity broadband customer (it does not support standard ADSL broadband on this model)

I bought this to replace an old Netgear router than often failed to connect to the internet properly, and also a Talktalk badged DLINK router that would work for a while then lose its connection. The BT Homehub claims to have the best wireless strength as well, which is important to me.
When I first got it, I couldnt get it to connect to my Talktalk ISP, because it was locked into BT, despite the manual saying it could be used for different ISPs. With the help of an excellent website, PSIDOC, I managed to unlock the Home Hub and change the ISP to Talktalk. It has now worked faultlessly for a week, always connects, has good wireless signal strength and doesnt drop out - basically everything that I was looking for.
I would recommend it, but only if you are prepared to go through the hassle of unlocking it by changing its Firmware etc for use with an ISP other than BT.

overall a good product, easy setup Not so easy I had to contact bt Twice. I am no slouch when it comes to bt stuff But they would insist I had not set it up correctly. Finally they agreed that it was their Fault and Bingo! All working at lightning speed and all phones working as they should.
