Description
The Belkin F5D7230-4 Wireless G Router allows the user to set up a computer network with a wireless connection speed of 54Mbps and a port speed of 10/100. As its name suggests, the Belkin router uses Wireless G technology and offers compatibility with IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g, and IEEE 802.11g/b WLAN standards. In addition to its four BNC ports, the Belkin F5D7230-4 Wireless G Router has a single RJ-45 LAN Port, and can be used in either wired or wireless mode. This wireless router supports both the RIP Version 1 and Static Routing protocols. On the front of the Belkin F5D7230-4 Wireless G Router is an LED display which shows the status of current activity, the ports currently in use, and their speeds. To the rear of the plastic casing is the detachable antenna which allows the wireless router to maintain its connection when not being used in wired mode. In addition to its firewall, the Belkin router is able to take advantage of either 64- or 128-bit WEP encryption to ensure data and network security. The Belkin F5D7230-4 Wireless G Router is suitable for either Mac or PC machines.

I bought this to replace a faulty G Router. It was easy to set up and works well. It's not to the latest N standard and this is reflected in the bargain prices available. My laptop is a few years old and has a G network adapter so a G router is all I need.

Husband had some trouble configuring it to my system - as he's more IdioT than IT ;-) - so didn't understand some techno speak on setup disc but trial and error has prevailed and fills gap that Virgin wanted £45.00 for !!!!
