Binatone Carrera X430 Automotive GPS Receiver

Exactly as described. I found the software on an Australian forum to fix the unit.
As I didn't like the software on it very much I installed my own TomTom 6 originally bought for my Palm treo running Windows CE on to an SD card and followed instructions for making this work.

As my Treo no longer works and needed an external GPS receiver this Binatone unit makes an excellent substitute and is still running a legal, if some what older version of TomTom software.

It now has all the favourites added for my daughter to use it whilst house sitting our pets whilst we are on holiday abroad.

It may not have the phone functionality that my Treo once had, however the lack of need for a bluetooth GPS and the larger screen more than make up for it.

The Binatone software worked correctly when re-installed, however, it was not as accurate as the TomTom and placed my car on a road parallel to where I was when I was giving it a test run once the machine was repaired after the original software fault.

Is a second hand gps,with a good screen quality,4.3" LCD,the GPS radio receiver sensitive is very good,and accurate.The navigator included is a old "fashion",designer and little,and poor indications,compared with Portuguese Ndrive software,or the Route66,or the IGO8,but come with many Europe country (Benelux,France,Spain,England,​Italy and more,on another SD card).
The battery autonomy is enough for connect the Power cable, to the car cigarette holder...-:)
The price seems attractive,and the seller,in my case,excellent.Good for test with another software,a little modifications is necessary for Igo8 run,a and go well...with many details :-)

I purchased the X430 because it offered the highest spec at the best price.

Although I was a bit aprehensive about buying the cheapest Sat Nav, I need not have worried the X430 does all I expected and more. It takes me where I want to go without any fuss, the graphics are excellent, the simulated voice is clear and presice. It out classes most of its rivals at the job it was designed for. O.K. it doesnt have a camera or a mp3 player but thats not what It was bought for, lets face it how many times would you use these other apps, If at all. Binatone have produced an excellent piece of kit at an excellent price. They have not fallen into the trap of the other manufactureres and bloated it out with useless gimmicks, and a price tag to match.

If you are after a Sat Nav, buy it you wont regret it.

exellent value for money sat nav ,easy to operate,well worth the money..wife not not very good with things like this but found it very easy to use and operate good maps well recommend.

great value for money, makes a great presant for christmas
, birthdays etc, looks good, would recommend to anybody, cheaper brand but just as good a quallity, why pay more for the same thing just to get a top name on it, its a must have
