Binatone F430 Automotive GPS Receiver

My old sat nav a 'nav go' from 2008 was doing my head in so thought i would try a new one. What a breath of fresh air this handsome new unit is, the display is large, clear and very responsive, the search etc is lightning fast, although it takes a couple of mins to find a signal from first start up, but you can use this time to input your destination. Total bargain, get one while they're on offer.

By far the best brand of sat nav that can be bought for under £100.
It has large well defined screen so it is easy to follow even when the voice instructions are turned off.
The features are great free speed camera alerts, ( it does sometimes give alerts for cameras that arn't there any more but shouldn't be a problem if it's the latest model or updates. Choosing the quickest route or shortest. Avoid toll roads. SD card slot to add more maps or pdf files. Points of interest, hundreds of pre-loaded destinations for sight seeing or just shopping. Speed alerts can be turned on or off to alert you if you are spedding and you can change the tolerances if you like to speed a little now and then.
Very easy to use just type in postcode, or address or just the city and it'll take you there. All features are easy to access and change.
I recently dropped my f430 and tried a couple of other models of sat nav in the same price range but ended up giving up on them as they were no clear instructions or couldn't hear voice or screen was just to small so I've just bought another F430 and I am happy with it.

Have used it about 5 times for journeys where I'm only partly familiar withe the route. Maps are well out of date, some roads that were opened over a year ago are not recognized - and others that have been closed are still showing, I've been sent on the 3rd exit off a roundabout instead of the second on at least three occasions already! You can't update it either, although I think if you buy a mini sd card you can buy more maps but this stops this from being a cheap satnav. Sound is bad and always needs to be set at max volume. However does get you to your destination in the end - but not always by the quickest or shortest route, so very frustrating at times. I wouldn't recommend this product or brand.

A real bargain! has all the basic requirements, easy to use and very clear in telling you instructions!
Be careful thou, shortest and fastest option are completetly different, took me 1 1/2 hours for a 36 min journey using shortest, perfect when put in fastest!
overall, a great little sat nav for the price!

good product for price, would recommend to anybody looking to buy. pretty simple to use good clear voice instructions. only thing i can say ive found wrong is its not great at picking up a signal in village type areas which is where i live, it keeps saying im in london or somewhere ive not heard of around there
