BlackBerry Curve 8310 - Silver (Unlocked) Smartphone

Couldn't afford a new Blackberry, so looked at the slightly older versions, and came across this one. For £60 I was most impressed! Only thing I wasn't expecting was to pay £5 per month extra on my contract for Blackberry Services, but have since found it to be worth it, with messenger, email, facebook etc. Also a great MP3 player which I plug straight into my car stereo!
Already unlocked to Vodafone, I simply put in my own contract SIM, and everything transported over to this phone. GPS/Sat Nav is very basic, and just has a thick line from your set off destinatipon to the other with no voice commands, but having said that, it is the only Sat Nav I know that constantly updates it maps without charging you. You can also just make do with 'directions' step-by-step directions similar to google directions.
One thing you have to keep an eye on is that you 'close' each application after using it, or it is still running in the background and drains the battery in hours, a problem many people have since looking it up on Google!
Many features and accessories still available for this model, and will keep me going for another year until I am due an upgrade, where I will have no hesitation on getting the newest Blackberry available at the time.

This device is easy to carry around, has a full keyboard and good battery life, it has built in GPS which if you use NAV4ALL costs nothing to use. Of course email is good and it can browse the web and play MP3 via it's 3.55mm headphone socket. Charging via USB is handy.

Dislikes
rubbish camera, 2MP should be enough for basic snaps but they come out fuzzy and bleached in colour and not at all good. Only works in bright sunlight. Only takes 4 Gig micro SD and they cannot be changed without taking the battery out. Screen is a little small for effective web browsing and it only supports GPRS and EDGE which makes browsing slow.

Overall it is a great device and can be picked up on EBAY for 70 quid, a bargain..
