Still loving Bon Jovi 20 years on
Seemed fitting to write this guide having just bought tickets for their 2008 tour, I remember the first time I heard of Bon Jovi, it was a radio edit release called Runaway - which is still possibly one of the best tracks I have ever heard and rightly so, included on Cross Roads a CD combining old favourites and catchy rhythms with more recent releases.
Ideal to put on full belt to annoy the neighbours, you will not be disappointed. This CD has Livin on Prayer as it's opening track, from Bon Jovi's early career, fast forward in time to Keep the Faith and then the CD bounces round a number of the big hits,
Track list is Living on a Prayer, Keep the Faith, Someday I'll be Saturday Night, Always, Wanted Dead or Alive, Lay your hands on me (gladly Jon!), You give love a bad name, Bed of Roses, Blaze of Glory, In these arms tonight, Bad Medicine, I'll be there for you, In and out of Love, Runaway and finally Never Say Goodbye.
I for one can not wait for 22 June 2008, when I am seeing them in concert.
Nice one lads
Ps the concert was brill x

All the Bon Jovi hits we love on one cd!
| Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.
The Bon Jovi Cross Road U.S. version does not have "Never Say Goodbye" in its song line up, while the International version (outside U.S.) does. So I decided to purchase this!
Highly recommended to 80's and 90's Bon Jovi fans like me!! :-) I guess you could guess my age range by that too!
Keep on Rockin'!

Cross Road (cd 1998)
This is in my opinion a very good compilation of Bon Jovi's greatest hits, all my favourites are on this album, You give love a bad name, Livin' on a prayer, wanted dead or alive, always, runaway, keep the faith and bad medicine. Was really pleased when it arrived as I really like rock music and often need to listen to some great music to unwind when i've had a stressful day. It was very good value for money.
This is one of my favourite album.
This was the first ever bon jovi CD i got, and I loved it from then on. It contains all his pre-1995 hits, not including these days. From his first ever song, that introduced this legend of a band, Runaway, to always. It includes most of my favourite tracks, Livin' on a prayer, Bad medicine, I'll be there for you, wanted dead or alive and so on. All their songs are a favourite of mine. But they could have included a few others. I know it won't fit, but still. Songs like Blood on blood, born to be my baby and the epic Dry county. But still, it is a great start to a new bon jovi fan. My favourite, though it was hard to choose, was Always. I have been to their concert on 27th june and they were awesome. That was stadium rock. 10/10
A real collection edition
This rerelease of BJovi's greatest hits won't contain many surprises for fans as they will recognise most of the songs, but it is still a collectible, high quality product.
The Crossroad album is the same version as the one that you can already buy singly, and it is still a great introduction to the rock band for any newcomer. But this deluxe edition also comes with a B-Sides disc.
Sure, for the fan, only a live version of the boys are back in town, and blood on blood will be new, as all the other tracks are available elsewhere, but this is still a fine CD. It's great to hear some of BJovi's lesser well known stuff become frontline music. Good Guys Don't Always Wear White should rightly be an instant classic. This B-Sides CD is fairly pumping with top tunes that really do rock!
The third disc is a DVD of BJovi's famous Live In London concert (also abvailable separately on DVD) and it is one of the best concerts ever. Here, the band are playing at the top of their game, with all the hit songs included. It's a fantastic watch, and rounds out the package nicely.
But of course, this is a real collectors item, and it's quality packaging shows that. The discs are held in a cardboard case, with lovely picturs of the band, inside a slipcase. There is also a mini booklet included.
Once again, BJovi have spoilt its fans with a top quality product, even if the inclusion of old songs already available might put some fans off.
