British Telecom Verve 450 Single Line Cordless Phone

first of all i liked the slimline style of the handsets as well as the glossy look. these come with a lot of features such as remote answer for the answering machine, hands free, up to 200 names and much more.

bt have always been a front runner for phones and these verve 450 cordless are a good example.

the screen is in black and white which makes it clear to read and see numbers, espessualy if you are not got good sight vision.

the downside i would say is that there are not to many good ring tones on this phone, apart from that this is a sleek moderen phone for all.

I've needed a replacement home cordless phone for some time, but have been reluctant to spend much as I hardly ever use it - never make outgoing calls and only get incoming marketing calls - despite being on tps.

So I was very happy to get the Verve cheaply, with all the functions I could ask for - OK it was clearly 'shop soiled', buy hey, what do you expect for very little money?

As a phone, it is slimline and easy to use with a very clear display and logical menu system. You get all the functions you could want - call answer at base unit, intercom between base and phone, text messaging system, etc, etc.

Reception is icy clear and the range is pretty good too (over 30 yards!).

The leads for the telephone and power are of a good length too - just as well as power points in my house are not that common.

So what more do you want?

Nothing - just get it.

Really nice phone looks a lot better than in the pictures you can find on the net, surprisingly slim and nicely weighted handset. Keypad is of a good size and sound is nice and clear.

I have searched for reviews on this phone and it appears to have mixed reviews but i feel it is a very good phone. It has several good features like the ability to send and recive text messages just like a mobile would (you must have caller dislay and this feture with your provider for this to work).

Id give this phone 9/10

Having replaced a cordless phone system with a binatone which i was very dissatisfied with, both from a feel and an operational sense. I was extremely pleased to find this BT Verve digital system at an excellent price but even more a great system. The handset feels solid, functions such as copying phone book between handsets and an excellent ansafone made it and excellent and recommended purchase.

As my old phones were not holding a charge for very long anymore I looked around for a new inproved set of phones. I would recommend these phones as they have many functions such as there ability to send text messages and some I have yet to explore. They are lightweight, good looking and the aswer machine takes up very little space.
